Entering the Inner Sanctuary
Enter this sanctuary time by settling down, becoming quiet, and breathing deeply some breaths. Remind yourself you are in the Presence of Love. This place you are entering, within, is the inner Temple, where you are One with Grace. You may wish to use a mantra, or prayer phrase, follow the breathing in-and-out, or witness the arising and falling of all around you as the manifestation of universal-Spirit. Enjoy these moments of quietly settling and come out when you are ready.

The Christian Bible has, "Without holiness, no one will see God." But does this mean a God outside yourself? Does this mean a literal seeing with your eyes? Absolutely, you are a sanctuary, a place of holiness. Relatively, your becoming holy is a realization of the innate potentials in your True Nature. That you are holy makes possible for you to become holy. That absoluteness of your Nature does not negate that you are here to bring into physical and mental realization the prior holiness that makes possible holy character and holy living. That you are sacred and are to become sacred entails a creative tension inviting commitment and creativity, and within all a loving devotion to universal, transpersonal Love. "To see God," then, signifies an inner vision, or insight, now, not in a proposed afterlife. Holiness removes the veil that keeps one from the realization of the immediacy and intimacy of Life.

A Jewish Hasidic story tells of a rabbi's son drenched in tears from a game of hide-and-go-seek with other children in the neighborhood. His father asked, "What is the matter, my son?" The son said, "Father, I hid, but no one bothered to seek me."
The rabbi pulled the boy close. He tenderly spoke, "My son, for the first time, possibly you can see how the dear LORD feels, for the Creator hides and waits in vain to be sought."
I respond in Love, for I have been sought in Love.
